Lecture notes interleaved in printed volumes of Wood's Syllabus of the course of lectures on materia medica and pharmacy, for the years 1837, 1838, 1840, 1842, and 1847. Item 1 is in the hand of Benjamin W. Helffenstein, and includes a drawing with watercolor of leaves of three medicinal plants. Item 2 is in the hand of Dr. Robert Burns (1838), with notes mostly in pencil; this volume also has the name Robert Bruce Burns at the end. Item 3 is in ink in the hand of Fran. Drinker (1838). Item 4 (lacking cover) is in the hand of J. Livingston Ludlow (1838). Item 5 is in an unidentified hand (name removed on title page) (1840). Item 6 is in the hand of Robert Patterson (1842 edition, with date Oct. 11, 1845 at the end). Item 7 contains several hands, a number of leaves with prescriptions bound inside front cover, with the names Robert H. Sunday, R.H. Alexander, and G.S. Farley on title page (1847).
